Let’s talk about sex, baby! Talking about sex with your kids strikes discomfort into many parents.
Don’t be overwhelmed, Lael Stone is here to talk about the age appropriate conversations we should be having with our kids. Why starting the dialogue around consent and bodily autonomy is so important from such a young age. How do we put in place healthy imprints around sexuality and body awareness for children? How does the way we were raised impact our conversations around sex?
Because having awareness of this topic and starting the conversations early, helps to protect children for life.

How do we show our emotions to our kids in a healthy way? And encourage them to have open communication with us about how they’re feeling?
Learn some practical strategies to help us when we feel triggered by an emotion our kids are showing, as well as how to maintain our secure base and help our kids regulate their own feelings, when we are feeling a little “all over the shop”.

Well, your baby IS the manual! Dr Bronwyn Leigh will help you find ways to think about this new little person in your family and what they need to flourish. Tune in to your baby, develop into the most supportive parent you can be and understand and meet your baby’s needs, as well as your own.

SUPPORTING OURSELVES AND OTHERS
Dealing with baby loss can be having a first-hand understanding, but it can also be about knowing how to support your family, a friend or maybe a co-worker as they deal with the loss of a child.
The death of a baby at or around the time of birth is a profoundly distressing event. The experience of miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death is usually sudden, unexpected and can be highly traumatic. Initial feelings of shock, disbelief, confusion and guilt can be overwhelming and followed by lasting psychological and social impacts.
Sarah, Megan and Shaye speak as mothers of baby loss, how it has affected their lives and the lives of the people around them and how it has become part of their everyday lives.

Parenting in today's world is a little different to the world we were raised in. With iPads, iPhones, iView, Netflix and endless apps, navigating screen time, the online world and what we do and don't allow our kids to access is a whole new ballgame for today's parents.
Join Martine as she provides strategies, tips & tools to make sure we are setting our children up in the very best way to stay in control of technology. She’ll talk about how technology is a part of our children’s everyday lives, how to set strong boundaries, the positive use of technology and how best to tackle the challenges we face as parents of children growing up in the digital world.

Struggling with mental illness is a real and everyday thing for many parents. But how do we balance caring for ourselves, our children and our families as we ride the emotional rollercoaster?
Join Amanda to discover more about the practical side of parenting with mental health struggles. She’ll share real-world tips on how to care for yourself, reduce the stigma and establish good mental health hygiene, including embracing the concept of horizontal parenting.

Sex, body and recovery after kidS
Remember, once postpartum… always postpartum. Discover the practical tools and a simple action plan to return to sex, exercise and general motherhood activities safely and without pain. Join Physio Laura to discuss the physical, hormonal and emotional changes which will influence a woman’s recovery after birth. She will cover the changes to the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles and how to enhance your recovery in the postpartum period, no matter how “postpartum” you are.

dEALING WITH ANGER AND RAGE IN MOTHERHOOD
Have you ever felt that unexpected white-hot anger that explodes out of you like a volcano? It feels wild - unpredictable, uncontrollable, and unwanted! It pulls you away from being the parent you want to be. This rage leaves you feeling guilty and ashamed so you dare not speak its name.
We’ll talk about healthy vs unhealthy anger and the primal purpose that anger serves. We’ll explore the triggers that elicit rage - helping you to figure out when and why it’s likely to strike. We’ll discuss practical strategies for keeping it together and tips for bouncing back for those times when it falls apart. And most of all, Amanda will reassure you that those big feelings in motherhood are normal.

Healing from a traumatic birth for mum, partner and babY
In Australia, around 1 in 3 women experience birth trauma and quite often it is not spoken about or acknowledged. Birth Trauma can have an ongoing impact on the mothering journey, as well as impacting a woman's relationship and sense of self.
Lael will explore what birth trauma can look like for Mum, her partner and baby, how we can come to terms with birth trauma and what steps you take to create healing for you and your family. Lael will also discuss what supports are available for subsequent births and how we can help babies and toddlers heal from birth trauma and stress.
